Alison

Alison is a high school English and drama teacher who occasionally wonders how teenagers have become her most prevalent social interaction. She grew up LDS in California, and graduated from BYU before moving back to the Golden State. She is an avid consumer and critic of books, television, films, and theatre; an aspiring novelist; Harry Potter expert; Anglophile; and musician. When she’s not having some sort of existential crisis about nothing in particular, she is probably travelling or writing.

As the Barb of the Stranger Squad, Alison knows that even if she might occasionally be overlooked or her advice not heeded, she’s still observing the world in an important way. But even if she is the first (and only) one to die, it’s nice to know that viewers at home will see the truth.

Alison is active on Twitter (usually when she should be doing something else), blogs rather infrequently, and co-hosts a Harry Potter literary analysis podcast called Alohomora!
